Funny how people tend to follow certain trends don’t you think? First it was Blogs that everyone thought was the best thing since sliced bread. Marketers flocked to them thinking they would cure their lack of earning for good. In reality Blogs have been around since the Internet was actually created, in fact they were the very substance that the Internet itself was built on.
Then came the Social Networks (or as they are otherwise known, Micro-Blogs). Again the first main one being MySpace, but again others had been steadily brewing in the background for many years...
Facebook was another that people flocked to in their droves, but again for marketers the money just someone never appeared. Quite the opposite in fact many were being deleted or losing their accounts due to infringing on the Facebook policies.
Now we have Twitter in all of its glory with virtually everyone who is a member expressing its greatness.
The truth is these are all pretty much the same beast, but with totally different variations on a theme. Yet the question remains!
Why does everyone tend to flock to each new Social service as and when it is launched?
You may even be reading this and be a member of each one and perhaps more, but have you made any real income from joining the masses yet? If you have then you are doing better than the majority.
So why is it that when the next “In Thing” is launched online the masses will join blindly and think that they have arrived.
The one key factor that pretty much most people that join these programs tend to miss is the reason that (A) They are aware of it, (B) Feel comfortable joining because of that, and (C) Seems everyone else is a member so there must be something in it... Almost lemming kind of philosophy (One jumps off of a cliff so the rest follow with a pretty unfortunate outcome).
Now I’m not knocking any of these great systems/programs in any way manner or form, but what I am saying is the majority of people tend to follow the majority of trends... put that into a business sense and it looks like this.
In the business world there is a 5% and 95% rift, the 95% tend to be the followers and under achievers, while the 5% tend to be the real winners and top income earners.
What the 5% do not do is follow the 95% in any way; they do in fact lead them. What I mean is the reason that some of the systems and programs I mention above have become so successful to the point of becoming household names is their plan of action and marketing plan, without either of those things you and I would never have heard of any of them... FACT!
To join the 5% requires a change in our thinking, they don’t think like most people, nor do they work by the same principles that apply to others. They see things in a different light and work out how they can best utilise something to gain maximum returns.
How does this apply to Social Marketing and Blogging? Simply the fact that while these are indeed exceptionally very powerful marketing tools and revenue generators they were not initially designed or created with that purpose in mind.
However that is not to say that there are some Social Marketing systems/programs out there that actually welcome this kind of use and activity, as there are, not only that, but when used in the right configuration with each other and a few other rarely thought about systems the sequence of events becomes one of, if not “THE” Most Powerful Marketing formulas available.
The great thing is that there are still relatively few people that have actually grasped this and they continue to spend dollar after dollar in search of the Internets equivalent of the Holy Grail for creating true wealth. Truth is it really doesn’t take masses of money to create wealth online.
It does take focus, determination, discipline, planning and following that plan with Action. Wouldn’t you rather work hard for yourself a year and be on your way to achieving all your dreams, desires and goals than working 40 years for someone else and at the end of it end up with relatively very little?
The 5% are sitting in their plush office blocks surrounded by wealth creating the real revenue from the 95% way of thinking. Isn’t it time to stop playing and really start earning?
Why not step outside the circle Today?
